At That Moment, I Knew Jesus Was Standing Next To Me
by Jolan
The other evening after my son was in bed and I had some quiet time, I sat down to read. I love to read Christian novels. Anyway, all of a sudden I felt a presence. At that moment I knew Jesus was standing next to me.
Where can I go to get away from your Spirit? Where can I run from you? [Psalm 139:7]
In my mind I saw him with his hand resting on my shoulder smiling, while trying to read what I was reading. I turned and looked at Jesus and said, "I love you Jesus", as tears filled my eyes! I felt his embrace.
Christ's love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with the fullness of God. [Ephesians 3:19]
The truest love you will ever find will come from our Father in heaven. He comes to all of us in different ways and he touches our lives at his timing. We must trust our Father in everything.
This is what the Lord says: "A curse is placed on those who trust other people, who depend on humans for strength, who have stopped trusting the Lord. [Jeremiah 17:5 ]
I love this verse.
I love it because it speaks volumes in four short sentences. We all sin. Every one of us. We are not perfect though we strive to be. People will always let you down.
BUT GOD NEVER WILL!
Wicked people have many troubles, but the Lord's love surrounds those who trust him. [Psalm 32:10]
Do you know why I am special? Why you are special? What makes us special?
YOU bear the image of God!!!!
So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them [Genesis 1:27]
"We are made in the image or likeness of God, and are unique from the rest of creation and from animals in that we have both a body and a soul/spirit. While God is a spirit and does not have a body, we resemble God by having a soul/spirit. We also reflect some of his characteristics in being mental, moral and relational beings. Mentally, we are both relational and volitional, able to reason and to choose. Morally, Adam was created in pure righteousness, reflecting God's holiness, and we have a conscience able to discern right from wrong. Socially, we were designed to live in community with others, reflecting how God the Father, Son and Spirit live in interdependent community, and are made to love and be loved, as God embodies love." -- Mark Slaughter, InterVarsity staff specialist in Indiana

God loves you and He has a plan for you. When you are praying to Him he is saying I love you my child you bear my image.
Our faces, then, are not covered. We all show the Lord's glory, and we are being changed to be like him. This change in us brings ever greater glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
[2nd Corinthians 3:18]
